Tempus Realty Partner’s GROW program plants seeds for students’ financial futures
LITTLE ROCK, AR (KATV) — Tempus Realty Partners is sowing the seeds of financial literacy with its innovative GROW program, designed to help elementary students turn their dreams into reality.
The program, which adopts entire schools, provides each student with a 529 savings account, starting with $600.
Students can earn an additional $300 each year through good attendance, behavior, and meeting reading goals.
Dan Andrews, CEO of Tempus Realty Partners, explained the vision behind GROW: “There’s so many dreams out there that really would be just a little more possible if there was some capital added to the equation.”
The program, developed in collaboration with Economics Arkansas, offers tailored financial education for students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
Andrews said, “We’ve had curriculum developed by Economics Arkansas, who’s been teaching kids about financial matters in our schools for years.”
What sets Grow apart is its scale and community involvement.
“It’s a much larger scale program than some of these others,” Andrews said. “It incorporates the teachers into this and really brings the whole community together.”
The savings accounts can grow with students throughout their educational journey and even convert into a Roth IRA, providing lifelong financial benefits.
Andrews noted, “These investments can really last their entire lifetime.”
Tempus Realty hopes to expand the program to other schools, inviting communities to participate and adopt schools to spread financial literacy.
Andrews said, “We really hope to see other schools adopted.”
