Futures File: Natural gas fuels price questions | Business
Early fall is a tricky time for the natural gas market with the weather not too cold and not too hot, leaving current demand virtually non-existent.
Of course, heading toward November prices can launch upwards with the inevitable cold approaching. The October futures price of $2.90 as of midday Friday is affected by a larger than expected level of storage, some 90 billion cubic feet (Bcf) or 12.5% above the forecasted amount.
